Not everybody’s bank account agrees with buying only high-end makeup. It irks me so much when people think only expensive makeup products works well and drugstore makeup are a waste of money. This post is to prove them wrong as most of these products are my holy grails and compete heavily with their expensive counterparts. Without any further ado, let’s get into the Best Drugstore Makeup Under $10.

ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer (0.49 oz, $6.00)-

I have tried non-silicone primers and being oily skinned they proved to be of literally no use. I need to have a good silicone based face primer and the ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer works really well in creating a smooth base for the foundation to glide on. It also controls shine to an extent and increases longevity of the makeup like no other. It is definitely one of the best drugstore face primer I have used and it is also a close dupe to the Smashbox Photo Finish Face Primer ($36).

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (1 oz, $5.99)-

I am more of a no foundation gal on an everyday basis but when I do wear foundation I mostly opt for only medium to full coverage ones. As I’m medium complexioned I like my foundation to have warm yellow undertones and not pink. Finding a good foundation that fits the bill is definitely a hard task. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation range has wonderful shade selection and the coverage again is quite buildable. They are quite comparable to the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation ($80) and Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua ($48).

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer (0.25 oz, $2.99)-

I wear only concealer under my eyes and on blemishes if I’m wearing any makeup at all on a regular day. This concealer is super affordable and has ultimate full coverage. The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer applies on the skin beautifully and it doesn’t look cakey at all whatsoever. By full coverage I mean it could even cover my tattoos without piling on too much of product. It is the best drugstore concealer and is a close dupe to the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer ($21).

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder (0.49 oz, $3.99)-

If you’ve been reading my blog for quite sometime you would know I’m a loyal fan of the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation ($27 in the US /2450 INR in India which is $37) but their never ending price hikes in India puts me off completely. I recently found a similar product from the drugstore which was the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder and it is quite comparable to the MAC Powder but less coverage at least I don’t have to go broke trying to buy MAC anymore.

NYC Sunny Bronzer (0.33 oz, $2.50)-

The NYC Sunny Bronzer I bought because I heard it is a dupe for the Benefit Hoola Bronzer ($29). The pigmentation on this powder is so much better than Hoola as it wouldn’t show up on my skin tone how much ever I tried to build it up. So this I was definitely my wallet savior and I gave that to a friend who could make use of it.

I had found these when I was searching for affordable matte blushes and I fell in love with them instantly. At only quarter of the cost of the MAC Powder Blushes, the formula is pretty much the same and it blends beautifully on the skin and gives a nice matte finish. From the NYX powder blush range, my favorite is the NYX Mocha shade which is a nice dusty rose color. I tend to use it everyday as not only it makes me look good, but the price makes it perfect as an everyday makeup product.

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro HD Brow Pencil (0.001 oz, $5.00)-

Now something I have to always do no matter what makeup I wear is setting my eyebrows. Even if I’m in a hurry, I always take time to do them as however good your makeup might be, a shabby eyebrow can ruin the entire effect. For this, my favorite go to drugstore brow pencil is the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro HD Brow Pencil. It is very easy to apply and having the spoolie brush attached to the other end of the pencil makes it perfect for on the go application or touch ups. Also this is an exact dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz which costs a whopping $21 if you want to save some money then get this.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios (0.12 oz, $2.99)-

Wet N Wild is brand that I have always been surprised with every release of a new range. They are able to keep their quality of products to standards of high end brands yet their pricing makes it affordable for everyone. I have the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and MAC Warm Neutrals Palette and I have held them in high regards but when I tried the Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trios, I was blown away by its high pigmentation and very creamy formula. If you are looking for a budget eyeshadow palette that will also be very travel friendly, then I would recommend you give this one a try.

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara (0.3 oz, $3.50)-

Mascara is a necessity for anyone who has very sparse lashes or even for those who just want to make their lashes thicker and longer. I have used many mascaras from the Maybelline Colossal Mascara to the Dior Diorshow Mascara but nothing came close to the Benefit’s They’re Real or Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara which was $24 & $23 a pop respectively. That was until I bought the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara. This mascara costs only $5 but it curls, lengthens and volumizes the lashes effortlessly without breaking my bank.

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick (0.11 oz, $1.99)-

By now you would know how much I love lipsticks by the sheer number of lip products I review on my website. Till now my mainstay when it comes to lipsticks is MAC due to the different types of finish and unique shades. The downside was the fortune I was spending on buying all those lipsticks and then since they are expensive, I don’t want to use them everyday to office unless it is a special occasion. That is when I came across the Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick range. That is less than 10% of the cost of a MAC lipstick, their formula and shade where a very close match and being so affordable, I could use them as everyday lipsticks!
