Hello, folks! For this week’s OOTD I am here with a saree. This time it is a black silk cotton saree that you could casually wear to work. Even though I’m not! 😛 This fabric is light, breathable, very work appropriate and the color black looks gorgeous on everybody. If you don’t know, I love sarees even though I don’t get to wear them too often. Without any further ado let’s get into the Black Saree To Workplace OOTD, shall we?

OUTFIT DETAILS FOR BLACK SAREE TO WORKPLACE OOTD-

For the outfit, I opted for a beautiful black silk cotton saree with an all over rose gold zari work. The fabric as I mentioned earlier is very light, breathable and is quite sheer so I chose to thinly pleat the pallu instead of having an open pallu which would’ve looked pretty tacky. This is the perfect type of saree to wear to the workplace because it isn’t heavy or blingy and is super comfortable to wear all day. You can play it up by mixing and matching the blouses. Here I chose a magenta brocade blouse that I got long back which perfectly matched the magenta shade in the border.

For footwear, I had this simple beige-brown suede kitten sandals with gold accents which best suited the saree. I incorporated shades of magenta in my accessories as well. For the watch, I opted for my favorite rose gold watch and a silver finger ring. For nails, I had a dark berry shade on which kinda matched with the saree border in pictures.

MAKEUP & HAIR BREAKDOWN FOR THE BLACK SAREE TO WORKPLACE OOTD-

Face Makeup-

For makeup, I moisturized and primed my skin to prep it for makeup. As it was super hot that day, I decided to apply a light layer of BB cream to even out my skin tone. To conceal the under eye circles I applied concealer and set it with translucent loose setting powder. I subtly contoured and highlighted my face. To add some color back to the skin, I applied a light baby pink blush to the cheeks and lightly filled in my eyebrows to frame my face better.

For the eyes, I applied a satin coppery bronze shade as an all over eyeshadow color. I added a coat of mascara to the lashes and lined my lower waterline using a matte jet black eye pencil. To complete the look, I applied a creamy mauvy pink lipstick. This makeup look was quick just under 10 minutes and gives a beautiful fresh look to the face without looking cakey.
