DiMoRa Restaurant, Chennai Review

Rocky and Mayur have ventured out to explore food from all parts of India and curate videos on Askme.com I’m contributing my part by relishing my favorite dishes at DiMoRa and sharing my views with you all!
You can also upload your video review on AskMe and stand a chance to meet Rocky and Mayur.

My boyfriend and I were hunting for a new restaurant (we are a foodie couple 😀 ) to gorge on some yummy food, that is when we came across DiMoRa. It is a nice restaurant adjacent to the Phoenix Mall in the heart of Velachery. From outside the place looks very unimpressive, as the restaurant is on the first floor. However, when you reach the restaurant itself the notion changes drastically. They have a decent sitting layout with exemplary lighting ideal for those endless conversations which also involves sumptuous spread of food.

Since we had gone late at night during the weekdays, we were expecting little to no crowd but oh boy we were utterly wrong the place was bustling with people and on top of that we forgot to reserve our tables as it was an impromptu dinner. Yeah we do that all the time 😀 Even with all the rush, the attendant managed to get us a table. After getting seated and all that jazz we first ordered our mocktails to quench our parched throats from the heat we got Atlantic Mist followed by Breaded Chilli & Cheese Mushroom for starters which was absolutely yummylicious.

For the main-course we had ordered American BBQ Pizza, Chicken Lasagne & Cajun Chicken Steak. The American BBQ was wood-fired pizza and was amazing with the perfect thin crust and the toppings were really generous with loads of String Cheese, BBQed Chicken and Roasted Tomatoes. We are a Chicken Lasagne fanatic and if the place serves good lasagne we will become their loyal devotees so when we took a bite of their delicious looking lasagne we were immediately hooked the pasta sheets were carefully placed in-between the minced meat and the generous amounts of cheese on top of the lasagne yum yum and we must say the taste was impeccable.

To describe the mocktail it was a mix of cranberry juice, orange juice, ginger soda and garnished with a lemon wedge the mocktail had this punch and it went really with the Cajun Chicken Steak. Speaking of which, usually steaks will have very little accompaniments added to it but here, the amount of food made us wonder if we should have just ordered only the steak and the mocktail! And the taste? Really very scrumptious. The steak wasn’t too soft or too rubbery it was just perfect and the accompaniment made it all the more delicious.

Each portion can be easily shared by two adults. We had ordered food based on the quantity that we get in other restaurants but the servings were so large that we had to pack some to take home. For the price it is more than worth it !! And we highly recommend this restaurant.

Hope you all enjoyed my review!! See you all in my next post. Until then stay beautiful. <3
