DIY Cushions-

If you think your cushion covers are plain and boring, you can spruce them up by printing designs on them. To do that, find designs that you like and print them on transfer papers. Cut out the design outline, remove the extra paper and set it on the cushion cover. Iron it with an iron box and the designs will transfer to the cushion. If you are looking for very simple decorations, you can use stencils and permanent marker to draw designs. Just be careful not to smudge as you draw.

Repaint your dresser-

If you’ve just renovated or repainted your room and have an old dresser that doesn’t go well with the surrounding, paint it to match the room. Simply take a wood filler paste and fill in all the those cracks and scratches. Once that dries, use a sanding paper to sand off the extra filler. Apply a coat of primer and then paint using a rolling brush for bigger areas and an angle brush for smaller ones. The number of coats of paint will depend on the paint thickness and how intense you want the color to be. Also change the knobs or handles. You can get beautiful and cheap ones from thrift stores for an amazing before and after.

Spray paint it gold-

You suck at drawing? Then we have this DIY which doesn’t require any special painting skills. Golden decors are so pretty when it comes to home decor but they are so freaking expensive if you buy them from the stores. So, the easiest and of course the cheapest way is to simply get a couple of golden spray paint cans and spray it on the objects you want to turn gold. Start off by spraying it on things that you don’t need, to get the hang of it. Then move on to figurines, fish bowls and other decors that you want to turn into gold.

Bedroom Terrarium-

Don’t have enough space to place plant pots in your bedroom? Worry not! Get a small fish bowl or even a fused out bulb. Clean it well, add dirt, sand, your favorite plant like a small bonsai or a teeny tiny cactus and other decorative items like gnomes, shells, pebbles and what not. This is super easy and fun to do and you can also gift them to your friends with their favorite things.

Make a faux fur rug-

This will surely make your room look like a million bucks. Instead of spending couple of hundred dollars for the faux fur rug, you can make them to fit the area of your room and decor under twenty bucks. From the craft store buy white faux fur or any plush material for the exact size you need. Instead of the plain old rectangular shape, you can cut it into any funky shape to suit your room. Once you’ve cut it, soak it in hot coffee and wring it to dry to get the original fur like result. To get that extra fluffiness you can throw it in the dryer and let it run for a few minutes and let it dry.

With all the above done, your room will now be looking like you have spent your entire fortune refurbishing the bedroom.
