Today’s review is going to be the ELF Pointed Foundation Brush. I was on the lookout for a tapered brush for cream and powder highlighters. Though I had couple of brushes that I was using, they were too thick for the cheek area. When I browsing in Walmart, I came across this one and immediately bought it. So how is the ELF Pointed Foundation Brush?

How Did ELF Pointed Foundation Brush Work For Me?
The ELF Pointed Foundation Brush comes with a matte black handle, glossy black ferrule and black synthetic bristles. The brush is quite sturdy and well made but unlike the other ELF brushes I’ve used, this isn’t the softest. The Taklon bristles are cut in such a way that they poke the skin while blending the makeup especially the tip. I’m not sure if it is the one I got that is like this or if all the ELF Pointed Foundation Brushes are kinda sharp and on the scratchy side.
The ELF Pointed Foundation Brush is great for buffing out under eye concealer, cream contour, applying cream or powder highlighters on the top of the cheek bones, cupids bow, bridge of the nose and for applying loose setting powder under the eyes. It blends the makeup without any streaks and the Taklon bristles makes it easy to clean without leaving any residue behind even though the brush is quite dense.
The ELF Pointed Foundation Brush is a great dupe for the Tarte Double-Ended Camouflage Tool, MAC 138 Tapered Face Brush. Overall, it is a good and affordable brush for blending out powders and creams.
