Today I’m going to review a liquid highlighter from the brand Faces Canada. It is the ‘Metaliglow 02’ which is pearly pink in color. It looks pretty similar to the Benefit High Beam highlighter. Let’s see how this one fared as both eyeshadow primer and also face highlighter.

How Faces Canada Describe This Product?

European award-winning lightly textured lotion flowing with iridescent shimmer. A product so inimitable it has a dual performance. Due to its quick setting, non-smudging capabilities it is a necessity for all eyeshadow wearers. Voted Top Eye Primer by FACES customers, this product extends, intensifies and holds eye shadow, allowing eyes to look runway perfect all day long! Prevents eye shadow from creasing. Apply to eyelids before applying eye shadow or wear alone for a veil of color wherever desired. Metaliglow can also be used alone or mix it with your favorite lotion and use it all over your face and body to highlight, shimmer and create a sun-kissed bronzed look for a sexier you!

How Did Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer Work For Me?

I’ll start off with the packaging. The Faces Metaliglow comes in a small glass bottle which makes it not so travel friendly. Seeing that the cost is 699/- for 15ml, the finish of the packaging could have been much better. And the applicator is stupid it is a spatula it should’ve been something like a doe foot applicator or even a small brush like the original high beam one. Now coming to the actual Faces Metaliglow “02” shade, when I first got this I hoped that this is a great Indian dupe for the Benefit High Beam but after swatching I could tell they were not similar at all. This can be used as an eyeshadow primer and also as a base to layer up your powder highlighter. If you have super dry eyelids then feel free to skip this one as it can irritate the skin. If you want that glow you can also mix it with your BB Cream or Liquid Foundation. It is super tacky so setting it with a powder is compulsory. It is super shimmery so it could be a turn off for some.
