Hello there! By now you all would know that Chennai is always super hot and humid with very sparse rains. Fashion in scorching heat and conservative society is a huge pain because you cannot wear all your short dresses and skirts when you wish to alleviate the heat. People frown up a good pair of shorts, skirt and even a pretty dress. Dressing comfortably in the sultry days is definitely a work in progress for me. Utilising some key pieces of clothing will help one achieve the look while ditching the skimpy look. Without any further ado, let’s get into How To Dress Comfortably For Summer!

OUTFIT DETAILS-

For this outfit, I wore a dark khaki green racer back tank top that I paired with oxblood printed pair of palazzos. Wearing loose fabrics is a great way to keep the body cool in the hot temperatures. There are several ways to accessorize this look but as always I kept it super minimal with a pair of nude brogues, mirrored sunglasses, a simple watch and a pair of stud earrings. The outfit is quite simple to put together and can be tweaked to match one’s mood and preferences. For example, one could throw a cute jacket or parka if there’s a nip in the air or opt for heels instead of the usual sandals or brogues with a cute top tucked in for a more dressy look. It is also absolutely flattering on all body types which is something I get asked to do more of.

MAKEUP & HAIR DETAILS-

Makeup Breakdown

First, I primed my skin using a silicone based face primer that kept my skin matte and smoothed out any skin texture. I concealed the under eye circles and other blemishes using a concealer and set my whole face with a powder foundation for some extra coverage. I lightly bronzed my skin for a sun kissed glow and applied a matte coral blush onto the cheeks. For my eyebrows, I used an eyebrow powder to fill them in. I wanted the lips to be the attention grabber in this look so I mixed two liquid lipsticks to get that perfect grungy oxblood lip color that gave this whole look a boost.
