Today’s review is going to be on the Kryolan Dual Finish Powder. Being blessed with oily skin I prefer powder foundations to any other type of foundation. One because it is easy to apply and second it gives the most natural finish to the skin. I wear powder foundations almost 95% of the time as it basically feels like nothing on the skin. So I was on the lookout for a new powder foundation and I came across this. Let’s see how the Kryolan Dual Finish Powder fared out!

What The Company Claims?
Creamy, soft-feeling make-up in an elegant compact, for moist or dry application. In dry form, this preparation is similar to cream powder and is effective in lightly tinting and shading the skin. This exclusive formula is best applied dry and followed by a moist latex sponge setting and finish for a perfect foundation application. Moist application enables greater covering quality and color intensity on the skin. Dual Finish can be gently removed with AquaCleans, or effortlessly with soap and water.

How Did Kryolan Dual Finish Powder Work For Me?
The Kryolan Dual Finish Powder comes in a silver packaging that has pressed powder in the pan and a sponge applicator under the pan. Also the lid houses a mirror that comes in quite handy for on the go touch ups. The product alone weighs a good 10g which is pretty awesome for the price you pay. This product reminded me of my holy grail MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation that’s why I checked it out in the first place. I got the closest looking match to my skin tone but in vain as it is much darker and more pink toned so when I tried it on my face it looked ashy and left a whitish cast which isn’t that forgiving. Still I gave it a go for review purposes but I would probably be giving this away to a friend or family to use.

Kryolan is known to have a good shade selection close to MAC but I was so bummed after trying it out. The actual product, although it is a powder, is super creamy and blends like a dream. The coverage can be built from light to medium and it blurs out the imperfections quite nicely and t definitely is a dupe to the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. I have used this powder only when it is dry so I cannot compare on how it will apply when it is used with a damp sponge. I didn’t want to ruin the product as I won’t be keeping it. Also I don’t like the idea of wetting powders for makeup as I like my BB creams or light foundations for that purpose so if you are anywhere near medium plus to deep complexioned you can give this powder a try.
