Today’s review is going to be on the MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder. My trusty Oriflame Studio Artist Loose Powder was getting over so on my next shopping trip I decided to try the MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder. So how did it fare out?
What The Company Claims?
MAC describes it as a silky, colourless finishing powder suitable for all skin tones that reduces shine. Wear over makeup or on its own. Available in a pressed compact for ease and portability. This product does not come with a sponge. Applicator sold separately.
How Did MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder Work For Me?
The MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder has the same packaging style as the Prep + Prime line. The mirror is housed on the underside of the lid for on the go touch ups but it does not come with an applicator. For the hefty price tag, I would expect MAC to provide one and not sell it as a separate product :/ . Personally I like to use the Real Techniques Sam’s Picks Setting Brush to set the undereye concealer and the Multi Task Brush to set my whole face.
The MAC Prep and Prime Pressed Powder is white in color but after applying it is transparent and doesn’t add any coverage to the makeup. I use it to set the undereye concealer with this and my whole face. It helps the products from creasing and also controls shine to an extent. It doesn’t break me out and it doesn’t look cakey. One can also use this powder to bake the makeup especially under the eyes and to clean up the contour.
