Today’s review is going to be the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium. If you read my lookbook section you know I rarely wear foundation. I mostly try to get away with concealing my dark circles and blemishes as my skin cakes up any foundation I wear when I’m taking up close pictures. So I got a bunch of new concealers and the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium is one of them. Let’s see how it fared out for me?

How Did Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium Work For Me?

The Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium comes in a plastic squeezy tube packaging with a black screw on lid. The packaging is sleek, sturdy and travel-friendly. There are only 5 shades in this range which is a bummer. I got the shade Medium which is definitely lighter for my NC42 skin tone and Medium Deep is too dark. The formula of the concealer is creamy and easy to apply and it blends well too; a little too well that it sheers out. I love my full coverage concealers like the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer (which is way cheaper and better) and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer both of which are super lightweight and full coverage. But this on the other hand barely covers anything.

The Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium settles into the fine lines and creases badly even though I set it with my trustee Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder or the Coty Airspun. As the formula is not the greatest, it mixes with the powder and starts to cake especially under the eyes in just under an hour. So the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium is an ultimate fail for me and I do not recommend this range to those with combo/oily skin. But if you have dry skin then you might enjoy the formula as it is quite hydrating and you can get away with just lightly setting it with powder. If you like this formula but want an extensive shade range then the better dupes for the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal are the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer they have full coverage and amazing longevity.

Would I Recommend Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal Medium?

I would recommend it for those with dry skin but if you are someone with combo/oily skin then don’t go for it! There are so many concealers out there in the market with better shade range and similar price point.
