Hello everyone! Hope you had an amazing and productive week! This week’s outfit post as you can tell by the title is going to be a monochrome look. As much as I love wearing colors, monochrome tones are something that is easy to pull together as an outfit and is also universally flattering which is a no-brainer. I love incorporating mesh fabric in my outfits of late because as they are sheer, they are breathable. The temperatures are still on the high in Chennai so light fabrics are all that I opt for. This outfit is so versatile that one can play it up or down like I did here with just a few key pieces. This is a wonderful casual outfit great to wear when catching up with your girls and at the same time glam you can spruce it up with some statement jewelry. Without any further ado, let’s get into how I styled the Monochrome Love: Crop Top & Tulle Skirt!

For this outfit, I wore a basic grey graphic crop top that I paired with a pleated black tulle midi skirt. As the outfit was pretty simple, I opted for a pair of glam shoes so I wore this pair of grey-gold duochrome pointed toe stilettos. For accessories, I kept it minimal with just a black satin choker and oxidized rivet studs.

First, I primed my skin using a silicone based face primer that kept my skin matte and smoothed out any skin texture. I skipped liquid foundation and went straight up with concealing the under eye circles and other blemishes using a concealer and set my whole face with a powder foundation for some extra coverage. I lightly bronzed my skin for a healthy radiant look and applied a matte coral blush onto the cheeks. For my eyebrows, I used an eyebrow powder to fill them in. For the eyes, I lined the upper lashline using a felt tip liner and the lower waterline using a black kohl. I also added couple of coats of mascara on the top and bottom lashes. To add a grungy vibe to this look I went with dark smoked purple matte liquid lipstick that tied the whole look together.
