Hello there amigos! How did this week treat you? Mine was pretty dull so I’m eagerly looking forward for the weekend so I could go watch the Avengers End Game. Did you watch the movie? How did you like it? In today’s post I styled a Rock ‘n’ Roll look using just the basics. Most times we buy stuff to wear to a theme party or festival and let it rot in the back of the closet after that. Instead of doing that I’ve picked out pieces that I already had in my closet. Buying new stuff every single time isn’t practical or sustainable but if you stock up on the basics you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion or mood. Without any further ado, let’s get into how I styled this Rocker Chic Look!

I started off with this Black Floral Embroidery Crop Top that has the rivet detailings. Since I was using the pieces I already have I went with my staple pair of Blue High Waisted Skinny Jeans you could also pair it with bootcut or flared jeans for the authentic feel. Since it is super hot I skipped boots/booties and paired with a pair of Grey Gold Sneakers. I amped up the accessories for this look. I went with a pair of Gold Black Mix ‘n’ Match Earrings, Black Choker, Blue Gold Leather Strap Watch and Gold Cuff.

MAKEUP & HAIR DETAILS-
For makeup, to start, I first applied a moisturizer on my skin so the base products would go on smoothly. After 10 minutes or so, I went onto apply a thin layer of sunscreen to protect my skin from the harmful UV rays from being outdoors. Once that was set, I used a little bit of foundation to even out the skin tone using a damp Beauty Blender sponge. I then used a concealer to cover any imperfections and set it with some face powder. I also lightly highlighted and bronzed to add back some dimension and color back to the skin. For the eyebrows, I went in with an eyebrow cushion first and then powder to lightly fill them in. For the eyes, I did a light wash of a bronze eyeshadow and, added a couple of coats of mascara. I also applied false lashes to make the eyes pop. I set my entire face with a setting spray to prevent my makeup from melting or creasing. For lips, I went with a creamy matte medium nude lipstick to tie the look together.

I absolutely adore my new haircut and color. I first smoothed out the frizz and curled the ends for some texture. I made a deep side partition in the front and swept the hair to one side and used some snap clips to pin the back of one side taut for a festive feel. I wanted to flaunt my new mix match earrings and this way was just perfect.
