Most of us suffer from dandruff which wouldn’t go ! Dandruff is an infection caused by bacteria on the scalp by dead cells. So, in this post I’m going to tell you a few home remedies for dandruff which will help you get rid of it completely. But before starting I claim to be no professional, these worked for me but might or might not work for you. Do a patch test to see if it causes any allergic reactions if it doesn’t then go ahead and cook these recipes. Now, shall we ?!

1. Aspirin Tablets- They not only help relieve your flu but it can also purge dandruff. Take a few tablets crush them and add it to your regular shampoo use it diluted in water on alternative days to cleanse the scalp and balances the ph level. This is probably the simplest of the home remedies for dandruff.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar- Apple cider vinegar is eminent for its use in helping with weight loss or lower the blood sugar levels but it also aids in clearing away persistent dandruff. Use it on alternative days by applying it directly for severe dandruff or dilute it with water for mild dandruff. Leave it on and wash off with a mild cleanser.

3. Listerine- How many times in a day do we get to see the Listerine ad on TV ? What is more than a just a regular mouth wash can also come in handy as a dandruff killer. How fancy does that sound ? 😛 So pour this baby in a spray bottle and mist it all over the scalp massage and leave it on for like 20-30 mins and rinse it off with a mild shampoo. It might sound a little odd, but give it a try and you’ll know why it is a trusted treatment for dandruff.

All these home remedies takes time of usually 3-4 weeks for one to see results. So, try any of these and tell me how it fared for you.

    Nice tips.. I’ve been using ACV for almost 3 years now and it definitely works 🙂 will try the aspirin & listerine tip next time!
