Today’s review is going to be on the Benefit They’re Real Mascara. This review has been long pending since I reviewed the Benefit Glamboree Set. The one product from the set I kept reaching for more than the others was only this mascara. I am a mascara junkie and I love the ones that gives me dramatic looking lashes. So how did the Benefit They’re Real Mascara fare out for me?

How Did Benefit They’re Real Mascara Work For Me?
The Benefit They’re Real Mascara comes in a grey tube which is both chic and lightweight. Though there is a full size mascara, I opted for the Deluxe Mini ($10) as it occupies nearly no space making it perfect for my makeup bag. Comparing both, there is not much in difference other than the size and quantity. It has a rubberized wand with a rounded tip with bristles poking out which makes coating even the tiniest lash easier. If you have hooded eyes or small eyes and have a tough time applying mascara then this wand is perfect for you.
The formula of Benefit They’re Real Mascara isn’t too wet or dry and has the perfect consistency. It is jet black in color so even with a single coat, you will see a prominent difference. Some of the other mascaras that I have tried usually clumps the lashes after one coat but that is not the case with this one. If you wait for each coat to dry in between, it doesn’t clump the lashes. The Benefit They’re Real Mascara separates each lash and gives a false lash like effect which I really love.
The Benefit They’re Real Mascara stays put until I take it off at the end of the day. It doesn’t smudge or flake but it isn’t waterproof so avoid getting wet. If you do not mind the price tag, then this is a great high end mascara to try if you want dramatic lashes but if you are on a budget, then try the Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini Brush Mascara, Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara or L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara which are fairly good drugstore dupes.
