Today’s review is going to be on the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner. Being a makeup artist and a makeup junkie I am constantly using all my makeup brushes so when it comes to spot cleaning them I always use my trustee MAC Brush Cleanser which not only cleans but also disinfects the brushes so when I came across the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner I was excited to try it out. Let’s see how this one fared out!

How Did The BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner Work For Me?

The BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner comes in a white plastic bottle with black spray nozzle that could be attached to the cleaner bottle. The packaging is quite sturdy and the spray nozzle makes it travel friendly. The cleanser is a transparent liquid that not only spot cleans the brushes but also disinfects and conditions the brush bristles. The best way to clean the brushes is to spray the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner onto a tissue or a clean cloth, let it absorb it and then swirl the dirty brushes on the tissue or cloth. Repeat it if needed or until the tissue is clean. Spraying it directly onto the brushes also works but most of the spray tends to miss the brush unless I spray it at point blank range so I find the former method to be much more efficient. Once the brushes are clean of makeup products, I lay them in an inclined position with the bristles facing down so no moisture goes up the ferrule and loosen up the glue.

With the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner there is no need to rinse the brush afterwards and I let them air dry. While the small eye brushes dry almost immediately the face brushes which are large and dense takes more time to dry. So I clean my brushes overnight and let them dry and they will be ready to use the next morning. Now, I have been using the MAC Brush Cleanser and it costs $15 for 235ml and when I saw the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner, it was on sale for $10 for 177ml so comparing the two, you get more or less the same amount of brush cleaner for about the same price. That being said, when it comes to how they clean the brushes, I see no difference as they both do a very good job at cleaning the brushes quite effectively. If you have trouble finding one or the other you can always buy any of the one brush cleanser.
