Hello, my lovely beauties! Hope you all had a productive week and are gearing up for the weekend because I know I am! I recently picked up these pieces when I went crazy during the sale season but fortunately or unfortunately I mostly never picked or liked the ones on sale and shuffled through the new arrivals. The first piece that caught my eyes when I went to Westside store was this pair of Charcoal Grey Shorts, and this is the kind of style that goes right up my alley. Even though like most of you all know that I prefer high waisted I got this mid-rise pair because I liked the fit on me. So without any further ado, let’s get into how I styled this Charcoal Riveted Shorts & Striped Red Cropped Tee!

OUTFIT DETAILS-

I first started with this pair of Charcoal Grey-Black Shorts with rivet detailing and frayed hems. It has a classic fit to it, and it is mid-rise so you can pair it up with a lot of tops or blouses. I also added a Black Belt with Silver Hardware on it. For this look, I paired it up with a Striped Red Cropped Tee I love the fit of this because I could barely find any top that fits me like a glove. I am in size XXS for the top; it shows all the curves beautifully. For shoes, I opted for a pair of Black Faux Patent Platform Oxfords which added a grunge vibe to this look. For accessories, I went with silver-tone jewelry like this pair of Dainty Owl Earrings, Opal Silver Rings and a Dainty Silver Cuff with Pave Diamonds.

MAKEUP & HAIR DETAILS-

Makeup Breakdown

For makeup, to start, I first applied a moisturizer on my skin so the base products would go on smoothly. After 10 minutes or so, I went onto apply a thin layer of sunscreen to protect my skin from the harmful UV rays of being outdoors. After 10 minutes or so, I primed my face using a mattifying primer. I then used a little bit of concealer to cover any imperfections and set it with some powder foundation. I also lightly highlighted and contoured my skin to sculpt and add back some dimension. I dusted a matte dusty rose blush for a flush on the cheeks. For the eyebrows, I went in with eyebrow powder and lightly filled them in. I set the eyebrow hairs in place with an eyebrow gel. For the eyes, I did a natural plum eye look. I then used mascara to bring my lashes back to life and to make my eyes look awake. I set my entire face with a long-lasting setting spray. For the lips, I applied a gorgeous nude lipstick which kept the look casual and put together.
