Today’s review is going to be on the Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick. I have a couple of lipsticks from this range that I got from this line which were super creamy and opaque to apply but they were peachy nudes, so this time around I got this gorgeous maroon shade called Blush. Let’s see how the Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick fared out for me?

How Did Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick Work For Me?
The Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick comes in a chrome packaging and transparent lid which looks nice but gets dirty in no time which is annoying. The packaging is very sturdy and is also travel friendly. The lipstick has a faint vanilla fragrance to it which reminds me of MAC Lipsticks. I already have the shades Bare and Smoky Rose from this line and I love the formula of those so this time around I went a little darker and the color Blush which is a beautiful maroon shade.

When I first swatched the Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick on my hand, I found it to be a little too dry compared to their previous ones. I wiped the top layer off with a dry tissue and it started to swatch a lot better. Though the shape of the bullet has changed the outer packaging remains the same. The Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick isn’t as creamy as the older ones but it is still creamy enough to apply on the lips without tugging or skipping. The formula is matte and isn’t drying like a full on matte liquid lipstick which is good.
The lipstick stays put on me for around 5-6 hours after that it leaves a light pink stain. This particular shade is universally flattering on all skin tones and is a good drugstore dupe for MAC Media lipstick. Overall I like the Colorbar Velvet Matte Blush Lipstick and I still remain as a fan of the velvet matte range.
