Today’s review is going to be on the Colourpop Between The Sheets Super Shock Cheek. Subscribing to a lot of YouTubers mean you get convinced into buying a lot of makeup. But with this I was also intrigued by the formula of the face products because they have a pressed cushiony texture that applies like a cream and dries to a powder, cool isn’t it? So I ordered a couple of Colourpop stuff from their website and the first one I picked was this blush. With any further ramblings let’s get into the review of Colourpop Between The Sheets Super Shock Cheek to know more!

What The Company Claims?

Fingertips will provide the highest amount of coverage. Brush suggestions: Use a flat synthetic cheek/ foundation brush or a short duo fiber brush; flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more sheer, air brushed effect. WHEN FINISHED: Close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time; you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Cheek so amazzzing. Colour builds from natural- looking flushed looks to more intense bright looks. … Build to your heart’s desire!

Between The Sheets is a mid-tone beige pink in a matte finish, be a lady in the streets or a freak in the sheets.

How Did Colourpop Between The Sheets Super Shock Cheek Work For Me?

There are a total of 19 different shades of blushes in this range for now and I chose the most natural one out of the lot which is Between The Sheets. Another thing I like about this brand is their quirky way of naming and pricing their products which I think is mostly because they are aimed towards the teenagers.

Packaging-

The Colourpop Between The Sheets Super Shock Cheek comes in a white plastic jar packaging with transparent screw on lid and holographic Colourpop logo on the lid which is really chic. The outer packaging is a colorful carton which screams super shock cheek and their products are made in the city of Angels. Instead of the usual plain pressed powder that most blushes come in, this blush is pressed with a beautiful pattern which I can describe as a wire mesh but then it totally depends on what to comes to mind when you see it.

Formula & Texture-

The texture of this product is what intrigued me in the first place even though it looks like just another pressed powder blush from a distance it is actually not. The formula is soft and pillowy like a cushion but not like a mousse blush as it is more firm and does not have the slip to that of a cream product. If you touch the product it leaves an indentation on it like a play dough, it is super hard to describe the texture of this product.

Color Payoff-

The Colourpop Between The Sheets Super Shock Cheek is a muted coral-pink with brown undertones to it and has a matte finish. With this texture and formula I was quite unsure of how it would apply on the skin but to my surprise, it applied beautifully. For a sheer wash of color, apply it using a small duo fiber brush which is what I prefer and for those who want heavier coverage, apply using either clean fingers or a flat synthetic brush both of which holds true. The product applies like a cream and dries down to a powder finish.

Staying Power-

To keep the cushiony formula intact, keep the jar closed after every use or it will dry out which would be a complete waste. Because of my oily skin, most blushes would fade off completely after 7-8 hours but this one was intact on my face even after a good 10 hour wear. For the price this blush has completely blown me away and it is one of the best and affordable blush I have ever tried.
