Today’s review is going to be the ColourPop LAX Ultra Matte Lip. As you all know, I love dark lipsticks and my collection of Colourpop liquid lipsticks keeps growing by the day. I recently hauled quite a few kits and singles from their Ultra Matte and Satins along with other knick knacks and have been quite enjoying them. Let’s see how the ColourPop LAX Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick worked out for me!

How Did ColourPop LAX Ultra Matte Lip Work For Me?
The ColourPop LAX Lipstick as with most ColourPop liquid lipsticks, usually comes in a plastic transparent body with a holographic logo but as this shade was part of their limited edition kit it came in a matte plastic body with matte black lid and graphics. The packaging as always is quite sturdy and travel friendly. The shade LAX is a nice dark burgundy red with slight brown undertones and has a matte finish. It is highly pigmented and applies easily without looking streaky. All it takes is a thin layer and in around 30 seconds it will dry down to an opaque matte finish.

The ColourPop LAX Liquid Lipstick stays on for around 6 hours but after 3 hours, unlike the Ultra Satins the Mattes got very drying on the lips. The ColourPop Ultra Matte LAX is a universally flattering and a great fall shade. The ColourPop LAX Ultra Matte Lip is a wonderful dupe for the Kat Von D Vampira Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, LA Splash Ravens Claw, ColourPop Ultra Satin Prim and MAC Antique Velvet Lipstick. Overall, at $6, the ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip range is a great line of affordable liquid lipsticks if you don’t mind the dryness.
