Today’s review is going to be the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King. I wanted to try something apart from the regular matte liquid lipsticks so when I placed an order from ColourPop I made sure I ordered some of their Ultra Satins. When I saw this gorgeous looking shade, I knew I had to get it. So how did the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King fare out for me?

What The Company Claims?
Our Ultra Satin Lip is a lightweight, bold lipstick with a Satin finish. A super comfortable feel and healthy satin look for you lips. Ultra Satin Lip has a crazy high percentage of pigments for extra intense colour saturation. This lipstick is extremely long wearing, although not completely kiss proof– you may leave some marks on your coffee cup!

How Did ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King Work For Me?
The ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King comes in a clear packaging with holographic logo which I find to be very pretty. Even though the plastic looks a little thin, it is really sturdy and travel friendly. As with all liquid lipstick, a doe foot applicator is attached to the underside of the silver cap. There are 27 shades in the ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick range and to give it a try, I had bought the Lyin’ King shade.
The ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King is a very pretty raspberry shade and doesn’t have any noticeable fragrance to it. The consistency isn’t too thick or runny and goes on really smooth onto the lips. While some of the liquid lipstick I have tried needs a couple of swipes for an opaque finish, this one goes on opaque from the get go. The lipstick doesn’t dry down to a flat matte finish instead they dry to a satin finish which is super comfortable to wear even if you have the driest lips in the world.
It stays on for around 6 to 7 hours and if you pucker your lips together it does feel slightly tacky but the lip color doesn’t transfer or anything which is great. This shade is universally flattering and will be great with different makeup looks. The ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King is perfect for days when you want to wear a nice bright lip color or for special occasions and parties. The ColourPop Ultra Satin Lyin’ King is a great dupe for MAC D For Danger, MAC Heaux Lipstick, Marc Jacobs Beauty Boy Gorgeous (222) and Estee Lauder Unattainable Pure Color Matte Sculpting Lipstick. Overall, at $6, the ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick range is one that I recommend and in my opinion, it is one of the most affordable liquid lipsticks that is worth buying.
