Everyone wants to have soft and lustrous hair and we often try many products but our hair remains dry, oily, dull or damaged. Today we are going to show you four DIY hair masks for each hair type that you can make right at home. These masks will be all natural, cheap and devoid of all those chemicals found in the regular hair products.

DIY hair masks

Milk & Honey DIY Hair Masks-

Suitable for All Hair Types
This is one of the simplest hair masks. Take a single teaspoon of honey and mix it in a glass of whole milk. Apply and massage it into your all the way from the root to tip. Let it soak in for 15 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water and shampoo. Milk has proteins which helps the hair grow thicker and more lustrous.

Olive Oil & Egg DIY Hair Masks-

Suitable for Dry Hair

Does your tresses feel too weak and brittle? Then this hair mask is your best bet. In a bowl add 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil with two egg whites and apply this mask to your hair and let the mixture sit for around 15-20 minutes before rinsing it in the shower. The olive oil will help nourish the brittle locks, while the protein in the eggs will strengthen the hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar & Lemon DIY Hair Masks-

Suitable for Oily Hair

For oily hair, take 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar and mix it with one full grated lemon rind. Apply it onto the hair and let it set for 15 minutes and then rinse it in the shower. Apple cider vinegar will remove product buildup and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, shiny strands. The lemon will help in absorbing the excess oil and also balances hair’s pH level, kills bacteria and cures dandruff.

Banana, Honey & Almond DIY Hair Masks-

Suitable for Dry, Flaky Scalp and Hair

Take half of a ripe banana and mash it and then add two tablespoons of honey and a few drops of sweet almond oil and allow it to sit with a shower cap on for 20 minutes before rinsing. Bananas can help retain the moisture in your hair, smoothes down the frizz and soothes the itchy scalp while almond oil will help with scalp inflammation and also adds that extra boost of vitamin E much needed for healthy hair growth.

I was searching for some DIY hair masks yesterday only. I have a doubt, won’t honey make our hair tone lighter?
