So, let’s check out how to do pedicure at home.

How To Do Pedicure At Home

What you will need to do a pedicure at home-

Cotton pads
Nail Polish Remover
Nail Clippers
Trough
Warm Water
Essential Oils, Foot Soak
Cuticle Cream
Cuticle Trimmer
Cuticle Pusher/Orange Stick
Nail File
Foot File
Foot scrub
Clean dry towels
Foot moisturizer
Nail Polish

Cut it out-

Start off by removing your old nail polish using the cotton pads soaked in nail polish remover. And do not use an remover with acetone as it is going to weaken the nails. Once that is done, trim your nails using nail clippers. Use a nail file to smoothen the edges and give them the desired shape. If you think your nails are very hard or if you are finding it difficult to cut then, soak them in water. This will make them softer which makes it easy to cut and file them.

Dunk them in the water-

The most important step is soaking your feet in warm water which will immediately destress you. Fill warm water in a trough and start soaking your feet in them. You can also add Essential Oils, Bath Salts or even a Shampoo that you like and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. Once it’s done, dry them with a towel.

Remove all the dead cells-

After drying your feet with a towel, use a cuticle cream on the cuticles of each toe nail and let them sit for a few minutes. Once it’ softens that area, you can take your cuticle trimmer and trim of the excess dry skin without hurting the actual skin. Now the cuticles are nice and clean, let’s move on to the next step. Slough off all the dead skin cells using a foot file. And start scrubbing the heels, balls of the feet and also on the sides of the feet. But don’t scrape too hard be gentle and firm at the same time. Then gently massage your feet using a good foot scrub. Don’t forget to scrub your ankles also.

Slap on some moisturizer-

After the scrubbing is done, wash your feet once more and pat it dry using a towel. You can now apply a moisturizer that you bought from the shelves or you can make your own concoction by mixing 1 tsp Olive oil with a couple drops of your favorite essential oil.
Massage the oil onto your feet till your ankles and let it soak. It not only nourishes your feet but it’ll also help them from ageing faster.

Polish it up baby-

Paint your toenails with your favorite color nail polish. Start by applying a good base coat so the dark color polish won’t stain your toenails. Wait for it to dry completely and then apply 2-3 coats of your favorite nail polish. Let them dry completely & Voila!!! Now your feet should be feeling like a million bucks!
