How To Style A Backless Top OOTD

On days when you’re not in the mood to wear a dress, there are several other casual pieces you can incorporate in your outfit to feel all sassy. From a lace to backless tops and from jeggings to distressed jeans, you can make the outfit look laid back yet risqué. By accessorizing the right way, you can take this outfit up a notch without looking over the top. In this OOTD, I will show you how to style a backless top.

OUTFIT DETAILS-

For the outfit, I wore a rusty backless top from Forever 21 which is the highlight of this OOTD. Because it looks very casual and boring when you first see it, the back of this top makes all the difference. To bring more contrast to the top, I chose a pair of tattered blue jeans and to add patterns to the solid colors, I opted for a pair of animal printed ankle boots. While the heels add more charm to the look they are also super comfy to wear throughout the course of the day without killing my feet. I also took my recent yet favorite purchase a black blingy carryall from Esbeda.

MAKEUP BREAKDOWN-

For makeup, I applied a high SPF sunscreen as I was outdoor and made my face look shine-free by applying a powder foundation from MAC. To add color to the face I swept some matte coral blush on the cheeks and I also filled-in my eyebrows to frame the face. For the eyes, I applied a light wash of color from an eyeshadow palette by Tarte and added 2 coats of mascara to the top and bottom lashes. Finally, coming to the lips I added this super opaque yet hydrating red lip gloss from Hourglass.
