Hello lovelies! Hope you are all having a fantastic week. By now, you would all know I live in Chennai, a place which is hot and humid for almost 10-11 months every year and the weather gets super erratic and dries out the skin even further so a good body lotion is a must for me. I have tried a lot of body moisturizers in the past like the Nivea Body Lotion and Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Lotion and this time I decided to pick up the Jergens Soothing Aloe Moisturizer. Since this is the first time I have got a Jergens Moisturizer, I didn’t know what to expect. Without any further ado, let’s see how this one fared out for me!

How Did The Product Work For Me?

The Jergens Soothing Aloe Refreshing Moisturizer comes in a huge off-white container with a pump dispenser. I got the jumbo version so I wouldn’t be taking it with me while traveling but the packaging is quite sturdy. The moisturizer is quite creamy and thick in texture. It is easy to apply on the skin and gets quickly absorbed. Like the Aveeno Moisturizing Lotion, it creates a protective layer that helps with transepidermal water loss. It doesn’t leave any white cast on the skin. The Jergens moisturizer has a mild cucumber-like fragrance which is refreshing and it doesn’t linger on for too long on the skin and the protective layer that it leaves on the skin becomes sticky if you start to sweat and gets icky and annoying.

Now let’s divulge a little deeper into the individual ingredients, shall we? After water, the second ingredient is glycerin which is the cheapest emulsifier and solvent out there that could be added in skincare as a moisturizing and softening compound. There are several comedogenic agents and ingredients that could cause fungal acne. I’ve listed them all below. I find the fragrance to be quite unnecessary in the product. There are also really good naturally derived compounds that will help soothe, heal and hydrate the skin that are marked in green.
