Today’s review is going to be on the Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set. I got this brush set on eBay when I was looking for makeup organizers. But instead of getting what I was looking for, I got this brush set from Jessup instead because of the rave reviews of this set online in a makeup group. I had huge expectations for this set. Let’s get into the review of Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set to know how it worked out for me!

How Did Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set Work For Me?
The Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set came in a plastic cover packaging which kept the brush bristles from deforming during transit. This set contains 12 different brushes with which one can do a full face of makeup. From the fluffy powder brush to the smaller pencil brush this set has them all. And as most of you know I prefer synthetic bristles over natural bristles any day because they are soft and easy to clean. I love my trustee Real Techniques and the Sedona Lace ones but compared to them, natural bristled brushes are way better when it comes to blending it out eye shadows so getting 12 brushes for such a low price felt awesome. The brush handles are of high quality and the bristles do not shed or irritate my skin. While I was looking forward to using it for blending eye shadows, the bristles are too scratchy for my liking especially because I have super sensitive eyelids so I was disappointed as that was the main reason I bought the Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set. The website doesn’t give much information on the brushes.

All the brush handles on this set are acrylic handles while the bristles differ from one brush to another. This brush set is supposed to be a dupe for the Tom Ford Brushes which are around $55-60 each. But these don’t even stand a chance to the softness and quality of those bristles. While I find the synthetic bristles of some of the brushes to be workable the natural bristles definitely give me a hard time by poking the hell out of my eyelids. Overall the Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set is a huge fail for me.

Would I Recommend Jessup 12 Piece Brush Set?
Not really I would get the ELF or EcoTools brushes instead.
