Hello, there my lovelies! How was your week? Mine was pretty good. Believe it or not! I cooked most of my meals this week and finally decided that I prefer quinoa more than millets. I avoid rice unless we’re eating out. Enough chatter about food let’s get into this look where all of the pieces were black. When layering the same color, you need to be smart about the fabrics and the textures you use. Since I’m in the super hot Chennai, I can only lightly layer. You can opt for mesh, cotton, thin linens to layer during summer. So without any further ado, let’s get into how I Layered Different Textures In Black!

OUTFIT DETAILS-

I first started with my favorite Black Mesh Top layering under or on top of see-through pieces is the key here. I wore a well fitted Black T-Shirt Bra which was essential and with the mesh top you could see a small peek of the skin. For bottoms, I went with Black PU Mini Skirt the metal zipper in the front added a nice touch. For shoes, I opted for this super chic Black Mules With Rose Embroidery which added comfort. You can switch it for heels, for an evening out. For accessories, I kept it pretty basic with a pair of Small Silver Hoops also you could see my two new piercings they are pretty fresh so didn’t touch them.

MAKEUP & HAIR DETAILS-

Makeup Breakdown

For makeup, to start, I first applied a moisturizer on my skin so the base products would go on smoothly. After 10 minutes or so, I went onto apply a thin layer of sunscreen to protect my skin from the harmful UV rays from being outdoors. Once that was set, I used a little bit of foundation to even out the skin tone using a damp Beauty Blender sponge. I then used concealer to cover any imperfections and set it with some face powder. I also lightly highlighted and contoured my skin to sculpt and add back some dimension. I dusted a matte dusty rose blush for a flush on the cheeks. For the eyebrows, I went in with an eyebrow cushion first and then powder to lightly fill them in. For the eyes, I did a light wash of copper color and, added a couple of coats of mascara. I also applied lashes to make the eyes pop. I set my entire face with a setting spray to prevent my makeup from melting or creasing. For lips, I mixed a creamy matte nude and mauve lipstick to make my lips but better color which tied the whole look together.
