Ayurveda was a system of medicine developed in the Indian subcontinent. It helped in maintaining a good health which also shows through one’s physical self. But in the modern age we mostly use chemical products to maintain our hair, skin and we often forget about the side effects it can produce. Our body is what we eat so if we take good care of our body then we will obviously feel and look healthy. So when Kama Ayurveda approached me regarding their liver detox session I immediately accepted their warm invitations.

Insight into detox-
Dr. Ashish from Kama Ayurveda spoke on the basics of Ayurveda and the need for a detox diet to clean our body from the inside. He also emphasized the importance of clean eating for a good glowing skin. Using external products alone will not ensure good skin and it is mandatory to eat right for a good skin.
Useful tips to detox the liver-
• Drink 2 glasses of lukewarm water after waking up to boost the metabolism.
• Drink Amla juice daily to flush out toxins and strengthen the immune system.
• Cinnamon, turmeric, cumin and ginger are great spices for detoxing the body.
• Drink at least 3 litres of water everyday to maintain good skin as it keeps the body hydrated.
• Avoid raw food like fresh salads in hot and humid countries as it generates more heat to digest the food than their cooked counterparts.
• Avoid oily and spicy foods.
• Cut down the intake of caffeine.

What I Wore To The Event?
You see the uneven tan? I am going to whip up more of that scrub to detan my hands. -_-
Metallic Grey Off Shoulder Top from a Thrift Store
Distressed Blue Jeans from Krauss
The staff at Kama Ayurveda was kind enough to take me on a store tour and tell me about each and every product and how they should be used. They also gave us a goodie bag with samples of products to try out which was a fun addition. Full review coming soon. 😀
See you all in my next post. Until then, stay healthy <3
Love you xo
