Today’s review is going to be on the L’Oreal Paris True Match Mineral Foundation. I recently got this foundation when I was checking out some drugstore alternative for my MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. And the moment I saw minerals in the packaging I knew I had to get this. How did the L’Oreal Paris True Match Mineral Foundation fare out for me?

How the L’Oreal Paris True Match Mineral Foundation work for me?
The L’Oreal Paris True Match Mineral Foundation comes in a bulky yet fragile packaging and a brush is attached on top of the inner lid. Considering the price it retails at, anybody would expect the company to put some effort into the packaging. The brush that it comes with is very rough and scratchy on the skin. I prefer to use my own brush to apply the product instead of the one that is provided.
Coming to the actual product, it is a loose powder that can be buffed into the skin for that undetectable finish makeup like the Bareminerals Foundation. Here comes another issue, the powder isn’t finely milled, has a gritty texture and contains chunky shimmers which look awful with or without flash. Though the color in the packaging looks warm and yellow once I apply it on the skin it turns pink with those awful looking shimmers. I have tried buffing the product into the skin with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush but in vain. The powder goes on patchy and it hurts the skin because of the gritty texture.

I am not sure what kind of mineral foundation this is but it is a pain to apply and even if you apply it provides zero coverage. I usually try to give a balanced review for any products but with this the list of cons is exponentially greater than the pros . Though the foundation doesn’t clog the pores this is something I regret buying. For a drugstore brand like L’Oreal, the price is too damn high especially for the awful product. With a few more bucks I can get a MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation which is way better and is actually worth the money.
