Today’s review is going to be on the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. My boyfriend and I went on a shopping trip sometime back and we went to Parcos to get him a perfume as his Hugo Boss Bottled just got over that day. After choosing a perfume for him, the SA suggested me to try out couple of perfumes and this one was the best out of the ones I tried that evening. So how did the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume fare out?
What The Company Claims?
It’s hard to deny the power of Marc Jacobs’ popular fragrance, Daisy. Since its launch in 2007, the wispy floral has become a bestseller and has found many fans, thanks in part to the super-cute vinyl flowers that adorn its bottle. It has spawned a family of spin offs and most of Jacobs’ fragrances since have tried to recapture the magic of the original, resulting in a family of vinyl clad bottles and airy juices.
For 2014, Marc Jacobs is launching the latest instalment in the Daisy narrative, the languid-sounding ‘Daisy Dream‘. Created by venerable perfumers, Alberto Morillas (the gent behind the original Daisy, Amouge’s Opus VII and Salvador Dali) and Ann Gottlieb (responsible for Marc Jacobs’ Lola and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Covet), Daisy Dream is a wistful and pastel-shaded perfume that seems to be made for long summer days under blue skies.
Ethereal. Free-Spirited. Luminous. Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette by Marc Jacobs is a fruity floral fragrance with a light and airy touch. Inspired by the boundless spirit of daisies and blue skies, Daisy Dream reflects Marc Jacobs’s irresistible mix of intricate details, elegance and femininity for a fresh interpretation of the iconic Daisy motif.
Topnotes: Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear
Midnotes: Jasmine, Lychee, Blue Wisteria
Basenotes: White Woods, Musks, Coconut Water
How Did The Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume Work For Me?
The Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume comes in a glass perfume bottle with daisy motifs all over the bottle and cap. The fragrance has subtle floral notes but is also light and airy which is perfect to wear during the spring and summer season. There is also subdued fruity notes in the perfume which adds to the complexity of this fragrance. I spray this perfume on my pulse points and it stays on all day. If I spray it on my clothes it wears off completely in an hour or two. Even though I am totally in love with this perfume the quantity is too little for the hefty price tag that I paid.
The Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume is a subtle sweet smelling fragrance which isn’t sickeningly sweet as those kind of fragrances gives me headaches in a couple of hours. This fragrance isn’t even the least bit an offensive smelling perfume, it is feminine yet light and breezy with its subtle floral notes. I save this perfume for all the special occasions and is perfect for weddings and date nights.
Would I Recommend The Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume?
