Unlike the other real techniques brushes the bold metal brushes have super metallic finishes of gold, rose gold, and silver. They look and feel very high-end and the super soft synthetic taklon bristles does not shed, cleans easily and dries quickly. All three brushes are very soft and dense so they blend the products really well.

The exclusive brush in this set is the Angled Powder Brush which has a large head. This brush can be used for dusting a light layer of powder to set the makeup. Next the Oval Shadow Brush ($16) can be used to gently apply eyeshadow and blend it out. I also use it for nose contouring and it works wonderfully. The last piece is a Tapered Blush Brush ($24) which is my favorite brush in this set. If you’re someone who tends to be heavy handed with blush or contour then this brush will be a lifesaver. The bristles are soft and dense and it beautifully buffs out the blush or contour even if I apply too much sometimes.

Overall if you’re looking for a solid selection of synthetic, cruelty free brushes The Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Essentials is a great set to go with!

    Turn Ons-

  • Pretty brushes
  • Taklon bristles are super soft to use
  • No shedding
  • Blends the products seamlessly
  • Turn Offs-

  • Expensive
