Today’s review is going to be on the Sephora Lip Artist Palette. When I started with makeup almost 6 years back I had no clue what to buy and there were not many blogs and forums to guide me. It was a trial and error method until I got the hang of what would suit me. This lip palette from Sephora has brought me all the old memories. So how did the Sephora Lip Artist Palette fare out?

What The Company Claims?
A dual layered lip palette with four lip glosses and four poured lipstick shades perfect for daytime, playtime, and everything in between. This Sephora lip palette of wearable and fashion-forward shades allows you to pick a single color or mix and match to create a custom lip look. The creamy formulas glide on easily and blend well making custom shades easy to create and apply. The set includes brushes for on-the-go application. These products are not tested on animals.
How Did The Sephora Lip Artist Palette Work For Me?
The Sephora Lip Artist Palette comes in a plastic palette that is both sturdy and travel friendly. For $10, you get 4 lip glosses and 4 liquid lipsticks, 2 lip brushes and a mirror though I’m not a fan of the lip brushes provided and personally I’d rather use my own lip brush. While I like the lip colors as they are comfortable on the lips and they don’t dry them out, honestly, I don’t see any formula difference between the lip gloss and liquid lipsticks in the palette as they are all sheer and have a glossy finish to them which is kinda disappointing.

While the colors may look good in the packaging, when being applied I find the color payoff to be very poor and to make it worse, these stay on only for an hour or so which makes the product useless because if you are going to go out, you will need a lip gloss or lipstick that stays on for atleast 3 to 4 hours. Overall, if you are a hardcore makeup junkie, then you will be highly disappointed with the Sephora Lip Artist Palette but if you are a beginner then this palette will suit you as you can experiment with the different colors especially if you’re shy at wearing bright opaque lip colors as even the reds in this palette is quite wearable because it is pretty sheer.
