OUTFIT DETAILS FOR STRIPED BARDOT BODYCON DRESS OOTD-

For the outfit, I wore a pretty blue-white striped bardot bodycon dress. The fabric is light, soft and hugs the body’s curves perfectly. I chose a midi dress because when it comes to 50s retro style, dresses might be body hugging but never too revealing and just like that era I chose a simple striped bodycon dress. And keeping it completely retro, I wore a pair of tan suede chunky heels which gave a laidback effect while at the same time keeping it classy.

I kept the accessories to a bare minimum by just opting for a pair of tassel earrings and a gold bangle bracelet. On my nails, I painted them with a dark berry shade which completed the look.

MAKEUP & HAIR BREAKDOWN FOR THE CLASSIC PIN-UP MAKEUP LOOK-

Face Makeup-

First, I moisturized and primed my skin for makeup. I skipped wearing any liquid or cream foundations and concealed the under eye circles and other blemishes using a combination of 2 of my favorite concealers and set it with translucent powder. I then set my whole face with a powder foundation that killed the shine and added some coverage. I lightly contoured and added a light wash of matte berry blush to the cheeks.

As I was doing a retro OOTD, I went for a classic pin-up look. I added thick winged eyeliner, lined my waterline with a flesh toned eye pencil and a couple of coats of mascara to the lashes which overall accentuated my eyes without going OTT with any eyeshadow. To frame my face better, I filled in my eyebrows that matched my eyebrow color. To finish off the look, I applied a matte red lipstick.
