Hello there! How did your week go? Mine was A-okay. In today’s post I styled a mini denim skirt that was way too big for me to fit the waist area a tiny little hack on how I made it fit me. I got it sometime back online but never got around styling it. When I tried it recently it was too big and look unflattering I was so upset that’s when I did the belt hack. It was perfect! I haven’t styled knee high socks before so I grabbed this opportunity to style it differently as well because fashion is super versatile and experimenting with new styles might actually surprise you. Without any further ado, let’s get into how I Styled An Oversized Mini Denim Skirt Concert Style!

OUTFIT DETAILS-

The key piece to this look was the Light Blue Mini Denim Skirt though it was perfect for summer the size was too big on me. I used a Black-Gold Thin Belt to fit it to my waist by scrunching the loop area. I went with a Red Mesh Top & White Bandeau Top. For shoes, I opted for a pair of Black Platform Oxfords and Knee High Black Socks which helped to elevate the look. I kept the accessories pretty basic with just a pair of Oversized Gold Hoops, Brown Round Sunglasses and a couple of Gold Rings.

Makeup Breakdown

For makeup, to start, I first applied a moisturizer on my skin so the base products would go on smoothly. After 10 minutes or so, I went onto apply a thin layer of sunscreen to protect my skin from the harmful UV rays from being outdoors. Once that was set, I used a little bit of foundation to even out the skin tone using a damp Beauty Blender sponge. I then used a concealer to cover any imperfections and set it with some face powder. I also lightly highlighted and bronzed to add back some dimension and color back to the skin. For the eyebrows, I went in with an eyebrow cushion first and then powder to lightly fill them in. For the eyes, I did a light wash of the same matte bronzer and, added a couple of coats of mascara. I also applied lashes to make the eyes pop. I set my entire face with a setting spray to prevent my makeup from melting or creasing. For lips, I went with a creamy matte medium dark nude lipstick to tie the look together.
