Today’s review is going to be the Tarte Clay Pot Black Waterproof Shadow Liner. I ordered this off the Tarte website along with a couple more stuffs I got from them. This is one brand I truly enjoy and I haven’t had any product that miserably failed on me so far. So how did the Tarte Clay Pot Black Waterproof Shadow Liner fare out for me?

How Did Tarte Clay Pot Black Waterproof Shadow Liner Work For Me?
The Tarte Clay Pot Black Waterproof Shadow Liner comes in a transparent glass packaging with gold lid which feels absolutely luxurious. The packaging is very sturdy, travel friendly and range comes in different shades and finishes. I have Black shade which is actually matte black and I got this mainly for lining my upper lash line. Right off the bat I could tell the liner was a little too creamy and mushy for a gel liner. Upon swatching it on the back of my arm I found the pigmentation to be really poor. I was utterly disappointed to see a $21 gel liner to be this big of a fail. The liner was really translucent and oily and difficult to build up as it dries too quickly.
The Tarte Clay Pot Black Waterproof Shadow Liner is free of parabens, phthalates and is vegan. It is long wearing, waterproof and is also crease proof. I absolutely hate this as a gel liner but like it as a base when I’m doing dark smoky eyes. Overall, the Tarte Clay Pot Black Waterproof Shadow Liner is something that I feel isn’t worth the splurge as there are so many drugstore gel liners that are great dupes like the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner, L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza 36H – Profound Black.
