Being a sucker for Asian cuisine, I have been to Mamagoto for lunching with friends a while back. We thoroughly enjoyed the place because it reminded me of Pan-Asian street food. The ambience of this place was colorful and vividly resembles the streets of China Town. The tables are closely placed and for all the times I have been there it has always been packed but I would prefer tables to be spaced out a little bit as this one seems to be intruding with our conversation. Even though there was background music it was barely audible because of the noise of the crowd which some might be ok with but I would prefer it to be not that loud.
They recently launched their Bento Box which is a set menu that changes every day and it comes in both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian options. It usually consists of a starter, salad, stir fry, curry along with a portion of steamed white rice and banana chips. We went on a Wednesday and since that day’s menu had seafood in it we opted for the vegetarian variant. We got an assortment of Tofu in Black Pepper Sauce, Slim Sumo Salad, Veggies with Thai Herbs, Veg Penang Curry on the serving platter and a small portion of Steamed Rice, Banana Chips along with South East Asian Sauce on a regular plate.
What Was In The Bento Box?
Overall, the Bento Box is a great way to try a variety of dishes under a budget. Be it corporate lunches or meeting your friends it’s a great way to try an assortment of dishes without breaking your bank. It is available only for a limited period of time so make sure to give it a try before it is gone. The prices are pretty nominal for the quantity served, Vegetarian Bento Box is 499 INR and Non-Vegetarian Bento Box is priced at 599 INR.
