Today’s review is going to be the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette. Even though I like to experiment with bright eyeshadows every now and then, I love my neutral eyeshadows and I prefer them on any day. The Naked Palette wasn’t on my wishlist until recently so I had to get it. I immediately ordered it from the Urban Decay website. How did the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette Original fare out for me?

How Did Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette Work For Me?
The Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette comes in a sleek brown velvet outer packaging with rectangle shadow pans embedded in the palette. Under the lid there is a decent sized mirror which is really useful while doing the eye makeup. Though it is made of cardboard, the packaging is sturdy and very travel friendly. There are 12 eyeshadow pans in the palette and it comes with a good karma eyeshadow brush which is really soft and sturdy. The palette has 1 frosty, 2 mattes, 3 satins, 2 shimmery and 4 glittery eyeshadows. All of them are smooth, highly pigmented and does not have a lot of kick off. The palette has a beautiful array of neutral shades which is almost like the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. If I had to compare the two then the Naked Palette is not as buttery and pigmented as the Too Faced but it is still good.

The best way to apply the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette is to first prime the eyelids with an eyeshadow primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion, Kryolan Eyeshadow Primer or MAC Painterly Paint Pot. You do not get the same intensity when you try to apply the colors without a primer. The only drawback with these shadows is that they start to patch up if I spray the brush with MAC Prep n Prime Fix + Spray before picking up the colors. The shadows are easy to blend with minimal fall outs and once applied, they stay on all day without creasing or budging. One can create simple everyday looks to dramatic party looks with this palette. It is super versatile and is very travel friendly to take during trips.

So why did I choose the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette Original? I did an online comparison of the Naked 1 Vs Naked 2 & 3 and found that the Naked Original has eyeshadows that will flatter all complexions beautifully while the other 2 had more shades that will look good on people with pink undertones in their skin. Naked 1 is an all rounder palette which can be used as both an everyday palette and for special occasions.
There are several dupes in the market for the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette Original like the W7 In The Buff Palette in Lightly Toasted, e.l.f. 32 Piece Eyeshadow Palette in Natural, NYX Nude On Nude Palette and Coastal Scents Revealed Palette.
